One of my prints, "The Things She's Seen" was selected for the 9th International Miniature Print Exhibition this June at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk CT! The Juror, Jan Howard, reviewed 816 prints by 304 artists from 37 countries and 27 states, and picked one of MINE! I am beyond excited!!!!
now I just have to go print a second edition, since they want 6 prints to sell, and I have clearly marked this one as 2 of an edition of 5. I'll probably make a few subtle changes to warrant a second edition printing.
If you are interested in a second edition print, send me an email at rlprecht0@gmail.com, and I will print you one special. They are priced at $60 for the show (CCP takes a 50% commission), $30 if you email me to buy one direct.
This comes at such a great time for me, since I just took several blows to the ego in the form of rejection letters from schools... I was seriously beginning to doubt myself, my vision, and my decision to become a professional artist. Sometimes I cannot help but wonder how different things would be if I'd stayed in Biology/ Psychology my freshman year of college...
Anyway, MY ART in an INTERNATIONAL SHOW. right next to some pretty impressive names. Fancy art-types are gonna see it!
I am going to celebrate.
